The WCIT congress in Amsterdam brings together the world's leading people from industry, government and academia in the field of ICT. A key result is the Declaration of Amsterdam, which calls on all stakeholders to deliver the ambitious goals of enhancing economic growth, reducing greenhouse gases, promoting quality of life and consumer confidence, and ensuring that these benefits reach a global impact.
Everybody agrees on the goals, which are similar to those of the existing Grenada Declaration and the future Digital Europe strategy. But the critical issue is: How do we turn the Declaration's words into reality? WCIT therefore launches an open collaboration with all stakeholders.
